Lab Days

Well if you’ve read the about me section then you know I go to Military Uni…that means that there is a huge male to female ratio :D and I have lots of space to play around in the lab and get up to general mischief breaking snowboards and things.

We do a few symposias and things like that and I always try and get a paper or something in there.

Go Team!

Go Team!

This picture was taken when I was stuck at uni while the team were riding hard at the Brits 2007 hence the proud sponsor sign.

I am a member of the Department of Engineering Systems and Management so work in the Vehicle dynamics centre. I have about 65 snowboard in my office :-p sadly I don’t have a picture I can upload.

I try and think about problems simply in the lab so going from this….

Pulley system for torsional testing

Into this…

Torsional test on 158 Competition

But its not all fun and games as there is a lot of hard work involved and I have to get my hands dirty quite often!

    Hi Liza,

I am the snowboard correspondent for Piste the magazine of Snowsport England.

I am very interested in your work. Would you be interested in doing a short piece for the magazine i.e. a couple pictures and fill out a short questionnaire?

    Thanks
    Tom
